Helpful tips
Educate yourself (and where possible, those close to you) about the challenges you are facing.
Incorporate exercise, and/or yoga into your life, and be consistent with these practices.
Avoid excessive use of caffeine.
Avoid self-medicating with alcohol or drugs.
Consult your family physician, and get a medical exam to rule out underlying physical causes.
Talk to supportive friends and family about how you are feeling.
Get a journal and write down your feelings as they come up.
Be gentle and patient with yourself.
Get a meditation CD or attend meditation classes regularly – this will go a long way in helping to regulate your emotions.
Learn about and practice mindfulness.
